Umesh Shetty
After completing my SSLC in my hometown I moved to Bengaluru in search of a career and good life. As I was only SSLC qualified, I was not able to get any good job. So, I started working in the catering industry and did so for 2 years. I then worked as a cleaner in a hotel earning a measly 2000 rupees per month. Due to my low income, there was no end to the financial problems in my family. In 2007, I started a condiments business using the money which my brother and I had saved for our sister’s marriage. I struggled for almost 2 years to keep the business afloat but eventually lost the business. Losing the business was the toughest time in my life. I then went back to working for daily wage at just 200 rupees per day in the catering industry. Since, catering is a seasonal business, I hardly got 15 days’ work in a month. So, during my spare time, I started learning how to make pan in my brother’s pan shop. I then started putting a pan stall in marriage functions and continued to do that for 2-3 years. Although, my hands had become colorful because of making pan but my life was still black & white. It was during this time that my friend, Ranjith Shetty, introduced me to the miraclous world of Modicare. This was 14 years back and year after year I continued to grow with the help of Modicare. I faced many challenges but I never lost my faith and belief in Modicare. Now, I am leading a very meaningful life all thanks to this life-changing opportunity. I have achieved 8-10 foreign trips, generous six figure income every month and living in a luxurious 3-storey house in Bengaluru’s prestigious area. Now, I have fulfilled yet another dream of mine and bought a luxurious Mercedes GLC car through Modicare dream vehicle bonus. I want to thank my godfather Samir Modi Sir for creating this wonderful opportunity. My special thanks to my mentors Manjunath Shetty Sir & Santhosh Shetty Sir. Also, thanks to my lovely team mates and the entire Karnataka top leaders and management.
